House Saver May 24, 2009 A. J. Macagna (New York City) Installed this unit in my summer/weekend home upstate. In the middle of a weekday night my cell phone began to ring. It was an alarm from the freeze unit in the house. Without waking my wife I got dressed like a fireman, got in the car and drove to the country. Upon arrival I discovered the oil burner had stopped because the oil gelled in the fuel line. I was able to start the fireplace, light the gas stove and warm the house, thus saving the pipes from freezing. This unit worked exactly as was described. It saved me thousands.
Freeze Alarm January 25, 2009 D. Gagnon The alarm seems to work well with the test option. I did not drop the house temp to 45 degrees to determine if it really works but trust it will. It was simple to program, test and install.

I have a cabin in northern Mi.and during the winter in the back of my mind i wonder is the furnace running? One night on my TV news home inprovement tips they showed the freeze alarm and I couldnt beleive it this is axactly what I needed , that night I started checking on the internet and found Amazon.com had the best price and I find that a small price to pay for the peace of mind I get . I found it easy to program and although I didnt test in my freezer I did the key board manual test and it called my cell phone so Im happy and one day ill put it outside and check it out for real but for the time being Im happy.
no instructions November 16, 2008 Gary A. Finn (Lansing, Michigan United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not sure if Amazon or Freeze Alarm is at fault, but product was shipped with no instructions attached. I had to download instructions from website, which was fast and easy. I tested product and all worked well. This little device should protect and call me at remote location if my house loses heat while away!
Simple and not over engineered November 11, 2008 Mikebike (S.Portland, ME USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Was looking for an affordable, easy to use freeze alarm for our house and found it in the FA-B-CCA Freeze Alarm. Setup is simple, takes 1 9V battery, plug the phone line in and you're done. This is an item that you hope you'll never need to use but it's cheap peace of mind for when you're away during the winter months.
