| Customer Reviews: Worst customer service on the internet! January 22, 2010 M. O'Sullivan (El Reno, OK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If there had been 0 stars I would have chosen it.
I am a pet trainer and I have a deaf dog in my class. I bought this collar as an aid to training. I tested it when it came in and it was exactly what I was looking for. I took it to work and my manager asked if she could see it because she has a deaf boxer. I handed her the collar and tapped the button. NOTHING!! After a few more tries I took it apart and saw the following. "Shelf life of batteries is 18 mo." and "date of manufacture is stamped on the bottom of the battery." I checked and the date was 2007. No problem - I'd just get new batteries. I installed new batteries and the collar worked. I tapped it twice and then laid it down. After 15 min. I tried it again and the batteries were drained. I called the company twice and emailed them twice with absolutely no response from them. I am now going to turn them into the BBB and put a blog on-line. Material can be defective; but, the company should fix or replace it. DON'T BUY THIS!!
Great for a Deaf Dog September 13, 2009 V. Dawson (Maryland) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The collar feels like a neck massage and it works as billed. The casing on the remote feels cheap and I am worried about how it will hold up. The major draw back to the collar is that there is no on/off switch so the batteries will drain faster then they should and to replace the batteries four tiny screws must first be removed, retained and then screwed back. Considering the quality of the plastic I wonder how long before the holes are stripped. However, the price is low and it is the only collar I could find that does not also shock the dog. I was not confident that I would always hit the right button and this collar is to alert my old dog who has recently gone deaf, to look at me for the recall. She trained to the collar quickly and we have been able to resume our off leash walks through the woods without me worrying how to recall her to my side.
Not for small dogs September 12, 2009 D. D. Gowdy 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The collar worked great for training till he was able to slip it off and chew the plastic clip.
I have another one like this for my bigger dog and it works great when I need to do some training but for smaller dogs then 10 pounds I have yet to find a collar small enough.
Take it anywhere - good product / Great C/S December 15, 2008 D. M. Aldrich 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
This product was designed small enough to fit on any dog. The remote is palm size, easy to tuck in a jean or blouse pocket. The collar is light and versitile, but durable. My dogs respond to the tone or vibration as needed. Giving great control while allowing them freedom. They have learned commands quickly.
Now we can take them camping or anywhere using the commands "Boarder" that can be reinforced remotely. No longer requiring a perimeter fence.
I love the product as it is an economic answer vs the high dollar (hunting) collars that offer the vibration option. It will get your dogs attention without making a scene. Great aid in training.
Petzip staff were great to work with and dedicated to dog lovers.
