I have used any number of different book lights and this is easily the best of the lot. Well built, easy to use, regular batteries, two light settings and reasonably priced. What more could you want.
 Cheap Product breaks with light use November 13, 2009

I bought and used the mighty bright light at home for reading. The light is not all that bright but this was a minor flaw. The real issue is after using it for a couple months the damn thing fell apart at the head. The warranty is non existent so if it breaks the day you get it you're out of luck...
Currently I am looking for one either from a place that provides some type of warranty on electronics, or one that comes with a minimum 1 year warranty

My previous experience with this kind of device was with those "cheapo" lights you find in pharmacies or department stores. Reading with those is really difficult and tiring. So I was a little skeptic about the whole kind of devices and what this particular light could bring.
To my amaze, this is a huge difference over the cheap ones. The Mighty Bright is really usable, bright and with an excellent coverage. I even think this is definitely more usable than a floor lamp, in terms of flexibility and brightness.
As a final note: You don't need to worry about its base or its weight. You won't even notice it while reading. Also, it serves nicely to use the light in a "stand up" position, to read or whatever other use you need it for.

I purchased this light to use with my Kindle........for some reason I have a problem reading with it due to the gray background, but this little light has eliminated my problem. I like to read in bed and without this light I wouldn't be able to do it. I have no idea how long the batteries will last, but for now I'm enjoying my Kindle and hope to for quite a while.

This item provides superb lighting. As written in other reviews it is enough to brightly light both the left and right side pages of a book at once. Also very light weight.
