Mixed Reaction September 19, 2009 C. Arnone (Rockville Centre, NY United States) I used this patch several times, as well as giving some to a friend to try. My personal experience with them was good, receiving only one bite; however, my friend still received several mosquito bites while using them. Thus far, it appears to be very difficult to know if they are effective.
Mosquito Protection Patch September 8, 2009 Robert Smith (Elmhurst, IL United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The "Don't bite me" patch was reviewed in a Chicago newspaper and I decided to try it out. It is convenient because it can be worn under clothing. You must keep in mind that the patch must be applied two hours before going out. Another plus is that it lasts for 36 hours. It does work, and very well! When I use these up, I'll buy some more. One last plus: it has no UNPLEASANT SMELL.
Mosquitoes, beware! September 5, 2009 A. Horner (Tennessee) This past summer was the first time we have used the "Don't Bite Me Patches" with our three grandchildren during our annual Grandparents Camp. Two of the children have always seemed to be mosquito magnets, and we have fought the battle with all sorts of sprays and lotions designed to keep the bugs from ruining their outings. Nights were often spent searching for the right anti-itch balm to allow the children to sleep. Wearing the new patches gave the children freedom to be outside without the resulting horrible bites. I strongly recommend them to anyone who attracts the summer pests!
Didn't work for me July 29, 2009 Jennifer Wolfe (Cincinnati, Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this product based on all the positive customer reviews. The fact that these patches didn't work AT ALL for me, leads me to believe that either A.) the reviews were bogus propaganda created by the makers or B.) the patches simply work for some people and not others.
I tried these patches on my trip to Bonaire. I wore two patches (because I take birth control) continually, changing them as directed. I was eaten alive.
One thing I will say for the company is that they offer a free sample of their product on their website. So I do recommend giving them a try. What have you got to lose? Except a little blood...

Worked for me and my son! July 25, 2009 L. Bollinger 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
From the reviews here, I gather that the patch does not work for everyone. But wow, it worked really well for me and for my 8yo son. I'm the kind of person where if I'm around, no one else gets bitten by mosquitos--I'm that yummy, I guess. :-) We joke that my son is a tick magnet--we check him for ticks, and if he doesn't have any, no one else in the family will either. But neither of us had any bites at all wearing these--until I forgot to reapply and went past the 36 hour mark. It doesn't handle buzzing insects (nor does it claim to), so the gnats and other noseeums that DEET handles won't be affected. But if you're mostly worried about bites, it's absolutely worth a try to see if the patches work for you. I was really impressed, and since I send my kids to an outdoor day camp where they swim, I've looked for non-DEET alternatives (they started going when they were too young to safely apply such chemicals without help, and no help was available). So we've tried wrist bands, and various other non-DEET alternatives. This one worked. And hey--it's a B-1 vitamin that your body excretes safely if you get more than it needs. Hmmm--nasty, damaging chemicals or a vitamin? I'd try this first, and see if it works as well for you as it has for some people (there are smaller units available to try if you want a sample, but in a $-per-patch cost ratio, this is a better deal than we found at the grocery store, FWIW).
