Product Description This Humane Mouse Trap is perfect for all animal lovers. The Smart Mouse Trap senses when the mouse enters to retrieve the bait and snaps the door shut. The little critter will stay in the trap enjoying his treat until you come and release him in a safe place.
To use this easy "no kill" mousetrap simply place a "saltine" cracker in the bait holder, set the trap and check frequently (make sure you check daily or you may starve a trapped mouse). Take the live mouse still in the trap to a wooded or brushy area and open the door and set the little guy free. Escape is delayed until the mouse chews through the cracker. This delay avoids contact between the mouse and the trap user and gives the mouse a little snack to keep him nourished for a while.
The Smart Mouse Trap can be cleaned and reused as many times as needed. You'll be thrilled with this quick and humane mouse control.
The trap is made of green see-through Kodar plastic & two stainless steel springs work the trap door. Measures 3" x 7" x 2.5". Comes with 1 mouse trap with instructions and booklet about trapping smart mice and mouseproofing your home.
Endorsed by humane societies and animal rights organizations in the U.S. and worldwide.
Makes a great gift for animal lovers.

Makes a good Mouse Feeding Station March 22, 2010 Merle (Everett, WA USA) I have yet to catch a mouse in this thing. The mice run in, grab the bait and leave and the door never closes on them. I am following the instructions to a T yet nothing happens. Either I am too incredibly stupid or the mice in my house are too light to spring the trap. Whatever the case is this thing doesn't work.
Well in the past! March 21, 2010 M. Sierra (southern state) I remember catching many mice in this trap in the past...
But I don't understand why I haven't caught my big mama mouse yet :(
Have these critters gotten too smart for even the smart mouse trap!??
I refuse to kill them and I am hoping that it'll find it's way into the little
green box. I have had it set up for wks with a cracker and pb.
Maybe I need an actual saltine cracker?
3 days...3 mice March 15, 2010 Dorothy (Somewhere over the rainbow) Just started using this trap three days ago & we have already caught 3 mice. It's just a little inconvenient to drive one out to a field each time... I hope there aren't many more, but I am fairly confident this will catch them if they're there.
THIS HUMANE TRAPS WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! March 11, 2010 M. Krane (Denver, Colorado) I just want to share with everyone that this humane trap truly, truly works!!! We put a saltine cracker with peanut butter into the trap last night at 9pm and by 10:30pm we caught our first mouse!!! We released our little guy out into the field about a mile away from our house and then reset the trap for the rest of the night. By 7am, our second little guy was caught!!! We had been using another humane trap for the past 3 weeks and DIDN'T CATCH A SINGLE MOUSE. However, THIS TRAP TRULY WORKS AND I HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS YOU TO CHOOSE THIS VERY EFFECTIVE, HUMANE TRAP!!! (Check your trap every couple of hours so that way you can let the little guy out into the fields as soon as possible!)
Long term success... with much effort. March 5, 2010 unhappy_in_nj (NY, NY) I have owned this product for far too long. two months now. If you have stupid, fat mice, get this trap. However, if you have small smart mice, you must change your method of catching.
The only way i was able to achieve success with this product is to fill the trap with a lot of food, and i put it on the INSIDE where they can get to it. this eventually fattens them up enough so that after a week or 2, i catch one of the buggers.
I'm telling you,in another life, these mice were either ballet dancers or mastermind crooks. or both. the way they sneak in there, munch away till all the food is gone (regardless of using the trap door to offer the bait - they either suck that peanut butter through the holes or get the door up to eat and drop it back down when they're done)then leave... i admit defeat.
This is proof that 2 smart, over-educated people are no match for these little F%ers.
Granted, we've caught three with the "fattening then trapping" method. It beats the 3 "tin cat" traps that we spent $60 on and have caught 0 (but fed many).
it's getting to the point where we may as well invite them to dinner.
