Product Description Requested by several of our guests, we're happy to add this item to our list of handy cook's tools. The Adjust-a-Cup Measuring Cup is perfect for messy ingredients like shortening, peanut butter, honey, or heavy syrups, but you can use it with equally pleasing results with both wet and dry ingredients like milk and flour. There are several ways to use this tool. First, use it to measure a single item such as peanut butter: simply lift the outer, clear plastic sleeve until you see the desired measurement, fill, then (using the interior, aluminum canister as a plunger) push the ingredient out as you hold onto the plastic outer sleeve. You can also use it to measure several ingredients at once: after filling with your first ingredient, move the sleeve up to the desired measurement of your second ingredient, fill, then continue until all ingredients are inside. Then push them out into your bowl. This smart tool measures in pints, cups, ounces, milliliters. The Pro Adjust-a-Cup in a beautiful champagne satin finish replaces 7 conventional measuring cups. Its sleeve easily slides and seals for liquid and dry ingredients. It is great for sticky ingredients like shortening, honey, or peanut butter. It is made from durable metal and polymer for a long life and it is dishwasher safe.

Not as useful as I thought March 13, 2010 Seattle Investigator (seattle, WA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I saw Alton Brown use it on his show, I bought it to try it out. It works ok but it is bit hassle to because if you don't use it often the rubber seal dries up and it is hard to move it.
I went back to my old measuring tools as it was faster to use.
Sometimes gadgets are more trouble then worth, I found my 2 cut pyrex measuring cup more useful, so this is now in my basement along with other tools I bought and don't use.
Good product. March 11, 2010 N. Hogue (Las Vegas, NV) I got all 3 sizes of this on a combo deal. They work great, they are nice and firm so they don't fall out when packing Mayo or what not in there. The only gripe is the top of the big one did come off, but probably due to my extra hot extra soaped dishwasher, it tends to dissolve stuff like that. Starbucks cups fall apart often. So no big deal, cleaned it out, dried it out, a ring of Loctite super glue and it's not fallen off yet. I highly recommend buying them, and hand washing once used.
Very disappointing February 3, 2010 C. Adler 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've only used it twice now and the 2nd time I used it the top of the plunger separated completely since it was not glued in properly as I've seen people complain about in other reviews. Naturally this happened just 2 days after the 30 day return policy ended from Amazon. I could understand if I was rough with this or had soaked it for a long time etc. but for it to fall apart this quickly? Come on, I've been very gentle using it and carefully hand washed it. The plunger top just popped off when adjusting it as instructed.
The rest of it seems to made of very sturdy plastic so I was very disappointed that it broke so quickly. I'd give it more stars since when it was working it did what I bought it for, measuring sticky dough and getting it all out of the measuring cup.
item broke before use January 23, 2010 Lin F (Chicago, Il USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I took the device out of the box, and pulled the plunger down once, and the top black rubber ring rolled off of the track. The unit was very stiff, and I felt like I was forcing it to work. The unit looks better in the picture, I guess the silver color makes it look more durable, but NOT!!! A kitchen utensil should not have to be pampered, it should be a workhorse. I purchased this item before there were many reviews, now I will wait until I can read a number of reviews on a product before making a purchase.
Broken when I took it from the package January 5, 2010 B. Griffith 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought 2, one as a gift and one for me. Mine fell apart in my hand. I emailed customer service, no response.
