Product Description This adjustable measuring cup replaces several conventional measuring cups and spoons. It's sleeve easily slides and seals for use with both liquid and dry ingredients. It's great for measuring sticky ingredients like shortening, honey, or peanut butter, and is also perfect at the bar for measuring alcohol shots. Simply raise the sleeve to the desired level, fill with the ingredient, and then push the base up to slide the ingredient out. Color/Pattern: Champagne satin finish Capacity: 1 ounce (6 teaspoons/2 tablespoons)/30 millilitres graduated in teaspoons and tablespoons for dry and liquid ingredients and fluid ounces and millilitres for liquid ingredients Materials: Durable metal and polymer Care: Dishwasher safe

Good product. March 11, 2010 N. Hogue (Las Vegas, NV) I got all 3 sizes of this on a combo deal. They work great, they are nice and firm so they don't fall out when packing Mayo or what not in there. The only gripe is the top of the big one did come off, but probably due to my extra hot extra soaped dishwasher, it tends to disolve stuff like that. Starbucks cups fall apart often. So no big deal, cleaned it out, dried it out, a ring of Loctite super glue and it's not fallen off yet. I highly recommend buying them, and hand washing once used.
a bit gimmicky but I like it anyway February 11, 2010 Mr. Paul E. Boulet 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
works great for a liquid measure- saves me from having to stoop over to read the measurements as in a traditional measuring cup. However for dry measure it's tall size makes it difficult to scoop outta a bag of flour or sugar. Also it's relatively small diameter makes filling it from another measure scoop a bit of a challenge
Virtually Scrape Free December 16, 2009 C. W. Zwaschka (Brookings, SD) Gone are the days of scraping the measuring spoons clean when measuring viscous liquids and semi-solids (with the exception of the top of the plunger after the contents have been expelled). Works as advertised. I'm not sure how long the rubber gasket/o-ring will hold up as there is a lot of friction when sliding the plunger when it's dry, but for now it works as advertised. There's a reason Alton Brown uses these.
adjust a cup December 5, 2009 Daniel L. Shane 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
It is great for thick liquids, and good for dry measuring. If you want to measure thin liquids, milk, water, stock, stick with
liquid measuring cups
Great idea, poor execution December 2, 2009 M. Bendis (St Louis, MO) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I love these little adjust-a-cups but this one has a huge design flaw. The top(the black part above the silver plunger) is detachable, my only guess is for easy cleaning. It falls off all the time...on accident, if you pull the plunger out to increase your measurement, the plunger falls off inside the cylinder. At first I thought this was a flaw but it looks to be purposely detachable. I strongly recommend buying yourself a similar tool just not this one.
