Product Description Undead fathers really do know best...
To prove her journalistic chops, Libby Monroe ends up in Broken Heart, Oklahoma, chasing down bizarre rumors of strange goings-on and finding vampires, lycanthropes, and zombies. She never expects to fall in lust with one of them, but vampire/single dad Ralph Genessa is too irresistible. Only the town is being torn in two by a war between the undead and Libby may be the only thing that can hold Broken Heart together

Kudos for Michele Bardsley and Wait til Your Vampire Gets Home December 24, 2008 Kirstenkyn In Michele's latest offering Libby finds herself in WAY over her head. Her conceptions of life are challeneged and her way of life has to be rethought out. I was thoroughly enamoured by Ralph and his love for his children and willingness to do whatever it takes to keep them safe. I have devoured this book and am encouraging all my friends, paranormal readers or not, to pick up this book and this series!
Another Great Bardsley Read December 24, 2008 C. CROSS (Clovis, NM) I loved this book, as I have all of Michele's books. Despite the main character Libby holding views I don't agree with, I never found the book or the author to be "preaching" to me as another reviewer stated. She was simply a well written character with flaws and personality quirks. The story line was awesome, I loved the introduction of the dragons into the mythology and can't wait to see what comes next!
I wanted a great read not to be preached at December 10, 2008 Ashber (FL United States) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this book with High Hopes because I own and have truly enjoyed the first books in the series. Sadly, Those fragile hopes were dashed. I kept reading, wondering and praying that this "book" of the series would improve. It didn't. Instead this book was a preachy stint about Not wearing leather, how not to eat meat and no dairy. Which is fine if I had bought book for those reasons. The final kick in the pants at the end, yet ANOTHER plug by the authoress for her dairy free life style. Which would be fine I suppose if she wasn't writing about Vampires, Dragons and Oh yeah, FICTION!! I won't be purchasing another book of this series, or any more of Michele Bardsley's novels. If I wanted to be preached at, I would go to church. Please, Save your money and Don't purchase this book. I wish I could get a refund.
Not sure I how I feel about this book exactly... December 8, 2008 Sorcery Incarnate 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this book because I'd read the previous one and loved it. But this story's main character Libby annoyed me. I didn't like the portrayal of other characters I'd read about in the other book, and I wasn't very impressed with Libby's parents' society or the guy with all the gadgets. It just annoyed me more than anything. I didn't like that she acted all "secret agent" or that the cloaking devices gadget man had were so good - considering these are all supernatural creatures he is hiding from. The ending was messed up too, because wouldn't a soul sucking creature have to take all parts of the soul? Isn't it weird that a soul got split up in the first place and didn't completely die? I did like, however, that there were dragon people in the book. That was really cool. But again, I didn't like Libby. She didn't think about how her powers or actions could hurt other people, and if she's as human as she keeps claiming, shouldn't she understand that as a part-dragon person with a temper like hers, she's going to endanger those around her? She never once stopped to think what would have happened to the people around her if they happened to be humans instead of supernaturals... they'd have just died. And no one happened to just say that piece of information either, which I feel would have solved a lot of the problems with her. The love interest guy was kind of boring as well. His kids seemed to just be thrown in to be extra "incentive" for her to like him. I can't give it a 2, because I feel kind of neutral about the book. I both liked and disliked it.
Broken-Heart is Back with a Bang December 5, 2008 dukesangel002 To prove her journalistic chops, Libby Monroe ends up in Broken Heart, Oklahoma, chasing down bizarre rumors of strange goings-on--and finding vampires, lycanthropes, and zombies. She never expects to fall in lust with one of them, but vampire/single dad Ralph Genessa is too irresistible. Only the town is being torn in two by a war between the undead--and Libby may be the only thing that can hold Broken Heart together... Well, Broken Heart has a new paranormal being, DRAGONS!!! I loved the beginning of this series, but the 3rd book was disappointing, now, book 4 has picked back up :-) I really enjoyed this one, (although not as much as books 1 and 2). My main complaint is that there are several action/fight scenes and they always seemed rushed and not well explained, I felt like I was skipping paragraphs or pages. Otherwise, it was very entertaining and had a really fun cast of characters.
