I bought a version of this a few years ago. It has been very helpful and I've saved a lot of money by repairing things myself.
Easy to understand, good illustrations and pictures.
I just wish that all books of this type would be spiral bound so they would lie flat when you need to have them stay open, so you can easily refer to directions as you proceed with the repair.
Good purchase, paid for itself many times over with the first repair I did.

There are two books I think that every man should own: the Bible and this book. My parents bought this book for me when I was a newlywed. 11 years later I still use it. It gives you the basics you need to take apart and repair just about anything in your home. I have bought this book as a gift for both a first-time homebuyer and an experienced handyman because it is so practical.
