Product Description Do not break your back the next time you want to rearrange your furniture or clean behind it - get the Moving Men. The Moving Men are furniture sliders that allow you to move your largest cabinets and couches easily. Just slip one under each leg of your furniture and slide it to the new location.
Moving men are scientifically designed with a highly polished polymer and have a special cushion grip pad that the legs sit on. This is what allows you to slide your furniture effortlessly across your carpeting, just like skis on snow!
Amazon.com Review Made of a slippery polymer with a cushioned pad on top to grip legs securely, the eight disks in this set make it easy to move furniture and appliances around the house. The disks slip under the legs of beds, sofas, bookcases, pianos, and entertainment centers so they can be slid to different places. The set comprises four large disks (7-inches in diameter) and four small disks (3-1/2 inches in diameter). The large disks are designed for large furniture and the small disks for small-legged pieces plus washers, dryers, refrigerators, and other appliances. --Fred Brack

Moving Men November 3, 2009 Debra G. Gledhill (North Central Ohio) For anyone who likes to rearrange their furniture from time to time without waiting on a man to be there. This is iT!
Simple, but effective October 28, 2009 D. Brust (Minnesota USA) The Moving Men sliders are very simple, but have proven to be quite effective. You simply tilt up whatever you're trying to move and slip these sliders under each corner of the unit. You can then slide the item much more easily. These can be a great help, but there are a few things to keep in mind.
All these do is make things easier to slide. If you need to carry something up or down stairs, these sliders won't help you.
While these sliders will help to make anything easier to slide, heavy objects will still be harder to slide than lighter objects. In fact, I recently moved a very heavy armoire with these sliders. Even with the Moving Men in place, the armoire was still VERY hard to slide, and that's with two big men pushing and pulling. Don't get me wrong, the unit would have been IMPOSSIBLE to slide without these, just don't expect the sliders to make everything feather-light.
Speaking of heavy, if an item is too heavy for you to tip, then you won't be able to get the sliders underneath it. Again, the Moving Men wouldn't help you much.
When sliding an object across a scratchable surface, I'd suggest sweeping the area first. This will help to prevent the sliders from dragging dirt or grit along with them. While the sliders, themselves, shouldn't scratch your floor, anything stuck under the sliders could.
When moving an object up against a wall (a dresser, for example), make sure to position the sliders so that they just barely stick out from the back of the furniture. If you place the back sliders right in the middle of the back corners, then you won't be able to get very close to the wall (as the sliders will bump into the wall before your furniture does).
I haven't had an occasion to use the small sliders, but I could see them being handy for moving something with smaller legs, like a four-legged kitchen table.
Great on carpet October 21, 2009 Marilyn Turner (FL) I don't have problems moving heavy objects on hard floors. (I usually slide a rug or towel underneath and scoot the monster across the floor.) Moving over carpet is my problem--if you're not careful, you can stretch and mess up your carpet. (Voice of experience here.) This clever device works great. There's not much to these little gizmos. They're slick plastic on one side and foam on the other. I have an extremely heavy huge antique mahogany desk that takes at least two stout folks to move, but I can move it alone with these sliders underneath.
love it! October 16, 2009 N. Zlatanova (Kansas) I was 7 months pregnant when I had to move to a new place, and had to move around dressers and 3-sectional couch! These sliders worked great! I didn't need any extra help with them! Plus it's easy on your carpet and you don't risk damaging it! I highly recommend the set. The price is very good as well!
lost it's slid October 13, 2009 Susie G. (Sunny California) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this product in July and recently attempted to use it moving several pieces....light to heavy.
It seems to have lost it's ability to slid, actually causes more resistance than if I hadn't used them.
Don't waste your money.
