disappointment August 24, 2010 Robin L Pierce (Tamaroa, IL United States) I have had trouble with a basement dryer vent. After catching on fire, I decided to buy this indoor dryer vent kit. Yes, it's inexpensive, and technically does what it's supposed to do... It's flimsy, allows moisture to saturate the wall and floor, but worst of all it allows lint to accumulate all over the room. I put a mesh bag around it to try to stop the lint from flying out, but it still escapes. Messy, flimsy and heading for a moldy disaster soon. Save your few dollars and invest in something with more filtering capabilities (if it's out there). I am looking.
Too much work.................. June 25, 2010 Bob Alan (Pegram, TN) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This seemed like a good idea at the time. But, when I read the instructions and discovered it had to be taken apart and refilled with water after every dryer load, it was too much of a hassle.
Great Idea June 15, 2010 Joshua C. Mccoy (Anchorge, AK USA) We tried this product because our exhaust to outside is approximately 40 feet. The appliance technician measured the air flow from the dryer to the outside and found a significant drop. We decided to see if the indoor dryer vent would improve the drying time.
The item worked well. Except the dust was unbearable and caused us to try using a stocking to contain the flying lint. Of course, this reduced the air flow and we had to remove it.
This product should go further and provide a filtering system for the flying dust. We could get used to the noise, but the dust needs to be contained.
filterless filter May 26, 2010 Karen C. Otis (Slidell, LA) Bought for granddaughter and it stopped all the lint from covering her garage. He dryer has no outside vent.
Don't buy thru Deerso May 25, 2010 Appliance Man (Florida) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
The item works just fine, howevever, the buying experience thru Deerso was terrible. I paid extra for expedited delivery but after they shipped it they said it would still be seven days from the time I ordered until the time I got it. The customer service people totally didn't care. I will never order anything thru Deerso again!
