If you spend long hours on hard concrete, wood or tile floors you know how tired your feet, legs and back are at the end of the day. Those hard, unforgiving surfaces force your skeletal structure - bones, joints and muscles - to absorb all the punishment of standing, stepping, moving and bending. We placed these unique pads in our warehouse over the concrete floor in areas where we stand for long periods - like the area where we prepare customer orders for shipment. WHAT a difference! We've noticed a substantial increase in the amount of time we're able to stand on concrete without feeling like we just ran 10 miles. One set includes four 3/8" thick 2-ft x 2-ft pads to cover 16 sq ft in square, lengthwise or any way you need to fit your area.

Ignore that guy who posted that "Soft Link Mats are better" He doesn't know what he's talkign about. These mats come with ALL the borders you need and are plenty thick. I'm using them in my weight room. They will dent if you put a tredmill or HEAVY weight on them for a long period of time, but they do a good job at protecting my hardwood floor. You can't DROP weights on it as it will cut into the mat, but for stacking plates or using a bench or putting your curlbar, straight bar etc down, it's perfect. I dead lift 350lb and put it back on the floor with no problems. Easy to clean, very soft and very cheap per square foot. Make sure you order enough, I ordered the 96sq package and needed ONE more package to finish my gym, so i had to pay additional shipping for the 24sq ft package. Not as robust as rubber gym matts (which cost 5 times the price) but a very good compromise.

I bought 3 packs of these tiles for a project and found out that I needed more. I decided to check and see if I could buy the extras locally at Home Depot or Lowes. Lowes had a similar product but the interlocks were not compatible.
I wound up buying Soft Linking Mats from Lowes http://www.chayau.com/softlinkmat.htm and could not be happier, as the end result is superior to what these tiles provide for the following reasons:
1. The Soft Linking Mats are a bit thicker
2. They come with 2 straight edges and a corner which allows you to install the tiles flush to the edge of a wall or into a corner with no little holes for dirt to collect.
3. You can remove the straight borders if you need to interlock the tiles on 4 sides.
4. The price is about $1 more expensive than these, well worth the difference

I was a bit concerned at first because I was going to use this flooring over carpet, but it works great. After buying some double sided carpet tape, it doesn't slide and adds great absorbency for my aerobic workouts.
