Works much better than reviews I have read September 23, 2009 Donald S. Kirk 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Have 50 trees in my backyard, with a 70 foot sycamore overhanging the back of my house. Installed these on all of the gutters in the back of my house 8 years ago, and they work great, and they have held up exceptionally well (none have broken, and when I had my roof replaced two weeks ago, some of them were removed and then re-installed without breakage).
Some leaves may lay on top of the gutter guard, but when the winds pick up, the leaves blow right off the gutter guard. This week I purchased more of them and installed them in the front of my house. The new ones came with small mesh screen cloth glued on top of the plastic diamond gutter guard, but I went ahead and removed the small screen cloth in order to make sure they would not get blocked up by the asphalt shingle grit since all the previous ones I have had so much luck with did not have the optional small mesh cloth screen.
Bottom line is that these work great as long as you have trees with leaves (have no idea how they would work with pine needles, etc.)
One time each year I do go up on the roof and inspect my gutter guards. Typically I have a few twigs that have fallen from the trees that get stuck in the guard, but nothing that would prevent the gutter guards from working properly.
Great product, and easy to install.

Good product... but June 21, 2009 Sebring (Boston, MA) Gutter Screen performance depends on what you are trying to filter out. If you have trees that drop tiny berrys- they get through these guards. Leaves from oak and maple trees may get caught in these guards and may create a clog on top of the guards which you will need to clean. Tree seed pods will tend to get stuck in these guards too. There is a more current version available that has a fine mesh screen adhered to the outside which may eliminate some of the clogging- take a look at those too. These are well made and lock onto the (aluminum) gutter edge. Screws may be needed to really secure that connection. They can be easily trimmed with tin snips. The upper part of the guard slides up and under the roof shingles- do this on a sunny day in case you need to unstick the shingles from the roof water barrier material. I give these a provisional buy rating.
Keep Looking May 30, 2009 Johnny S. 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you are looking for a solution to overflowing gutters, keep looking. I will echo what both reviewers have stated. Easy installation, that snap right in. A few cuts with scissors and they are in place. I installed these in spring and 1 month later when the summer heat began, they had already sagged and dropped into the gutter. I am up on the ladder this morning, cleaning out more gunk and trying to reattach these some how in order to get some usefulness out of the the money I have wasted.
Very Disappointed October 30, 2008 D. Peabody (Boston, MA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought a large box of these at Home Depot and installed them in early spring and by late summer, the heat had caused them to sag in the gutter allowing debris to get caught and stop water from draining.
Would be better if they were made of aluminum.

works great other than around trees that shed small debris.
especially maple trees that drop whirlies, ...clog holes
and then allow them to compos into gutter.
this type with screens work much better.
