| Customer Reviews: This product still retains the physical dimensions (constraints) I need March 17, 2010 G. Page I was pleasantly surprised when I received my Nature 2's from this transaction as these units didn't deviate from the maximum out-to-out dimensions that I realized I needed. I first encountered outsized mineral sanitizers, notably, a Spa Frog, a couple of years ago and it was horrible for my spa as I had to file down protruding surfaces to fit it into my filter core. Luckily, I didn't totally tear up my core unit trying to get the Spa Frog out. Also, I ran into items very similar to the amazon-furnished Nature 2, but upon further scrutiny, I noticed that this "Nature 2" had a circular rim on the end opposite the pull-out loop that protruded so much that I had to return it. I am going to make a point of saving boxes my sanitizers came in after I've used them to aid me in getting the same item next time I need to get more of these.
I've been using these units for 10 years now and I hope there's no drama next time around. Nothing against the Spa Frog, necessarily; I guess the spa store figured that's what the public wants (?).
Helps keep spa water clean, odor free, and lowers chemical needs January 3, 2010 Ski Doc (Wilson,WY United States) I've been using this product for about 2 months in my spa. We use our spa at least 5 days a week. I've been very happy with this product so far. It significantly reduces the amount of chlorine you need to keep the water clean, which reduces both chemical odors and other odors. Note that you can use this with regular chlorine shock sanitizer crystals. I don't like the chlorine odor, and with the Nature2 you can run about 1-2 ppm on the chlorine and it stays clean, but doesn't have strong chlorine odor. I haven't tried the Nature2 brand chemicals yet, but may give that a try.
Does anyone know the exact mechanism of action of this filter? It seems to me like it is probably just an activated charcoal filter. The manufacturers website talks about silver but doesn't go into details of how it works. Just curious.
