waynefan April 10, 2009 TTTE Fan What can you say that hasn't been said already? It was nice to find it on DVD -- can retire the poor old VHS now. Was easy to find the copy I was looking for -- and what a movie. One of my and my spouse's favorites.
The Real Seabees February 20, 2009 Kim 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
John Wayne is terrific, as always. From the standpoint of telling the story of the Seabees role in WW2, this movie is well worth watching. But the plot and love story were very Hollywood-ized and silly. And William Frawley doing calistenics is laughable.
seabees February 19, 2009 L. Bartell (mid west US) My son had been asking to see this movie. I had never seen this John Wayne movie before, so it was a treat to watch. It's a good movie, not John Wayne's best but not his worse. If you like John Wayne in his war movies you will enjoy this movie. Highly recomend to see.
Pure John Wayne!! September 8, 2008 Edwin Becker Not a lot to say, except it's the Duke at his best. One of his best early movies and real gem! Watch it Pilgim!

If you went to a Seabee "A" school, you know all about this, it's nice to have in the collection.
