Wow! September 12, 2009 J. Carey (oregon) This guy is so talented that you wonder why more people don't know about him. I've seen him twice in person and this is almost as good. Try it you'll like it.
Keb' Mo': Keb' GO August 2, 2009 The Blue Baron (Los Angeles) Great performance by a steller songwriter and singer. Keb's music reminds me of a time gone by in this country, a good time. His music and his words have meaning and that's important. His songs are like stories, like reading a good book. Keb puts his heart in in them and it shows. Simply and great performance, please buy one, your heart and mind will thank you. Side note: during the concert Keb mentions that he wrote the song "City Boy" while living in Los Angeles at Olympic Blvd and La Brea Avenue. It's a small world because I bought my Keb' Mo' DVD one block away from this location.
Great Keb Mo Video June 12, 2009 M. Parker (Cedar Park TX) This is a great video of the blues master! Keb Mo is the blues for this generation. He is true to those great blues masters that went before, like Robert Johnson. You will love this video.
Nothing Fancy, But Still A Solid Performance September 17, 2007 Craig Connell (Lockport, NY USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a small studio performance by Keb Mo' with a small band and guest pianist Dr. John. It's a pleasant, but unspectacular concert.
The popular blues singer delivers familiar songs of his and banters a bit with the small crowd assembled. There isn't a lot to say about this DVD, except if you've heard Mo's CDs, you've heard most of what's on this, with the exception that he interrupts a few songs with his banter. Normally, I don't like that sort of thing (songs being interrupted) but Mo' gets away with here because he's an entertaining talker as well as singer. Dr. John is very good in here, as good as I've ever heard him. I wish I could have heard more of him on this DVD.
Overall, this is okay but it's more like a sound-enhanced CD (better heard than seen).
Refreshing July 21, 2007 AikiNat (Florida) This man is full of charisma and a sweet presence. The music just makes you feel good. Here he is in all his genuine in-the-moment gloriousness. I love this.
