Product Description Studio: Ingram Entertainment Release Date: 06/07/2005 Rating: Pg13
Amazon.com This dispensable 1984 comedy is a mostly humorless parody of '30s gangster movies, the kind of thing that might work reasonably well in a five-minute sketch on Saturday Night Live but which nearly beats a viewer to death over the course of a feature. Michael Keaton and Joe Piscopo play rival Mafia bosses, but once the novelty of that is introduced, it's already old. There's plenty of sustained effort from the rest of the cast (Marilu Henner, Danny DeVito, Maureen Stapleton), with Griffin Dunne getting special points. Amy Heckerling (Fast Times at Ridgemont High) directs as if this were indeed on television. --Tom Keogh

Funny Movie by Michael Keaton October 13, 2009 Steven Caldwell (Lindenwold, New jersey United States) This movie may seem a bit corny to some; but I really like the comedy by Micheal Keaton and Joe Piscopo. Not a bad satire on gangster films.
A true comedy classic October 5, 2009 Thomas D. Sladden Sr. (Charlotte, NC) This is a true classic and funnier than I remembered. A 'must have' for collectors of the best comedy!
Fargin Bastages September 14, 2009 Tracey L. Cordaro (Las Vegas, Nevada) This movie is so dumb, yet so amusing. It's a fun little movie with silly gag after silly gag. Maureen Stapleton as Ma Kelly is a riot. "Bless the saints, it's an ashtray! I've been thinking of taking up smoking. This clinches it!"
If you like silly-laugh-out-loud humor...you will like this one. Michael Keaton was so young in this film, but he could already carry a movie.
Johnny Dangerously July 1, 2009 Frank J. Cosentino (Bothell, WA USA) A classic comedy that no video collection should be without. I bought it on DVD to replace a VHS copy. a Romp about gang crime in New York during the depression. with few exceptions it is an all-star cast. You know you're in for a funny one when one of the opening scenes is of Maureen Stapleton, and in an Irish accent she says "The lower east side......This really sucks".
Classic fun 80's slapstick comedy May 18, 2009 Michelle K This is a great fun comedy with a great cast. Michael Keaton is at his peak in his carrer and is just hysterical, sharp and full of wit. Marilu Henner is the stunning female lead. Also, look for a classic and funny Joe Piscopo. Too bad this bright comedian disappeared off the big screen. For a good laugh, this is the perfect movie.
