This was the only movie Elvis did not sing in but I loved everything he ever did so it was great. Yes some of his movies were corny but I want them all on DVD. I think he was a great actor.
Elvis' best Western movie! August 14, 2008 Timothy Swan (Boring, Oregon USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This western saga finds Jess Wade (Elvis Presley) as a reformed gunfighter who is stalked and captured by his former band of outlaws. Presley sings only one song (the title track, heard over the opening credits) in the last dramatic role of his career. The feature has the look and feel of the popular spaghetti westerns of the time. This 1969 western would be one of Elvis' finest acting performances on screen, as he gets the chance to actually play it straight without having to break into a song every minute or so. Previous VHS releases of this film, including one issued by Warner Home Video in 1990, were of very bad quality, showing very poor picture images and unnecessary edits through certain spots. This 2007 DVD version finally clears things up, once and for all. The film is presented in its entirety in the original widescreen letterbox format, allowing the viewer to see how good it really is. The image is the most pristine version of all. If you are a fan of westerns, then this one is for you. If you are a fan of Elvis, you will not be disappointed. If you're in the mood for a great Elvis Western, look no further than 'Charro!' - A different kind of role, a different kind of man.

What can I say. I like most all of Elvis movies. Charro, was one of his better movies. And of course I love all his music.

Even if it is a knock off of a Clint Eastwood flick I still enjoyed the movie, As a long time fan of Elvis it was good to see him in a film where he didn't sing. I'm like a lot of others if he would have been able to star in a Star Is Born Elvis would still be with us. Anyway I think you will enjoy the movie if you like westerns.
