Could be better November 10, 2007 Bill (Chicago, IL) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this mouse pad because it's got the best surface for the best accuracy on almost any mouse. I give this 3 stars instead of 5 because the mousepad I received is not the one in the picture. It's the same blue raindrop allsop pad, but it's a much smaller square version of it and not the rectangular version that I thought I'd be getting. I actually already own this one, I wanted the bigger rectangle version of it for gaming and thought I had finally found the perfect allsop pad, but apparently the picture lies. My local compusa only sells these pathetic square versions of these too. What happened to the bigger, better, spacier rectangle one? pff
My Mouse Is Quite Happy On Its Allsop Home! November 8, 2003 David Von Pein (Mooresville, Indiana; USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
It's kind of difficult to come up with a great deal to say, one way or the other, about something as simple and basic as a "Mouse Pad". But the series of Allsop pads are, in this writer's opinion, probably the top of the line.No slip. Not too "slick". Not too "rough". Just like in the fairy tale -- "just right". :) Never noticed any particularly negative "smell" eminating from the pad either. (Just the standard "rubbery"-like scent, which, at least on mine, isn't at all overpowering and certainly not bad enough to warrant not purchasing the product.) These pads don't seem to fade in color over time either. (Knock wood.) The attractive "raindrop" design is just as bold now as the day I bought it, which was quite some time ago. I'd fully recommend an "Allsop" Mouse Pad. Get one...then invite your "mouse" to come over to your new "pad". It'll like its new home. :)
Oustanding Business Accessory March 26, 2003 Solid performer. Definitely one of the "go-to" accessories in my home office suite. Super reliable - always comes through in the clutch. Provides an outstanding tracking platform for my HID (Human Interface Device). Moderate compression of the backing material reduces operating fatigue. Excellent cost-benefit ratio. Oustanding scalability to adjacent, albeit divergent systems. Highly recommended!
Excellent product January 8, 2002 WindyCityReader (Chicago, IL USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We had been having a lot of problems with our mouse--skipping, difficulty maneuvering--and it turns out it was our mouse pad. The Allsop pad has solved those problems. It is a well-made product that completely serves the purpose for which it is intended. A+
great for optical mice, too September 15, 2001 Jennifer Hardee (New Haven, CT) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this not because I needed an exceptional mousepad but because I wanted a surface that couldn't possibly scratch my optical mouse. I was a bit worried because it was specifically designed to improve roller-ball mouse performance, but my optical mouse loves it!The surface provides exactly the right amount of friction. It's also a fairly thin mouspad (4mm), so even though one side of my keyboard sits on it, it doesn't throw it off balance.
