Great Cord June 19, 2008 Clifford Haugen (Philadelphia, PA United States) Not only is this a surprisingly well made cord, I was thrilled to find that it came with a free adapter (also lighted) to turn its single outlet into three! I was always skeptical of lighted cords, but after you trip a few breakers or GFIs, it quickly becomes apparent that lighted cords are the only way to go. Heavy enough to run electric chain saws and wood chippers and just the right length for my situation.
Rugged, rugged, rugged February 2, 2008 Louis Sander (Pittsburgh, PA) I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife to use with her electric snow blower. (I'm not the heartless cad you may be thinking I am: Hey, she wanted it.) We've used it twice so far, and it is a great improvement over the previous cord, which turned stiff as a board in the snow. This cord stays perfectly flexible in the snow, at least when the temperature is in the high 20s (the specs say it will be flexible at far colder temps). Its length is perfect for our needs (50' won't reach, and 100' has too much left over). Its thickness makes it hard to coil and store, but its flexibility more than makes up for that shortcoming. A nice feature is the neon light on the female end; if it's lit, you know the other end is getting power. That's about it. What more can be said about an extension cord, for Pete's sake?
Excellent extension cord December 4, 2004 D. Gibson (U.S. Military) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Tuff sheath, sealed ends, heavy gauge conductors support high amp power tools. The receptical end has an LED indicator that illuminates when the cord is powered. Maintained flexibility in moderately cold environments, well sealed for moist damp areas (use a ground fault!) this is a quality extension cord for those using higher amperage tools and equipment you wont find a better one anywhere.
Professional grade October 31, 2004 Jeffrey S. Alek (Annandale, VA) I have bought 3 of these. Excellent for running power tools. The lighted cord comes in handy since usually at clean/finish up time it is dark. Only down side is that it is heavy. However that is to be expected with this quality. Also too thick and rigid to tangle, big plus. Stain resistent.
Heavier gauge = more power! June 16, 2001 Brian_C (Erie, PA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Unlike the less expensive extension cords that are 14 or 16 guage, this one is 12 guage. This important aspect allows you to draw 20 amps of current to opperate your favorites tools without overheating the cord. Remember to plug it into a 20 amp outlet and you'll be able to utilize the the heavier gauge cord for what it was designed for.
