| Customer Reviews: A real piece of junk June 20, 2009 Earl Rice (Land between teo rivers) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have owned two of these now. I have a TV, DVD, 5 Disc player and Tuner plugged into it. After about 6 months the "Resettable" thermal blows and will not reset. No warrently info in the box. I guess I got what a I paid for. Another piece of junk from China.

If you spend thousands on a home theater system, this product is a must have. For $30-40, you get a warranty on your equipment as this product has a $25,000 payback if your equip is damaged by a surge, including lightning. Why buy the in-store warranty when this product guarantees it for much less? And the color coded tabs come in handy...make sure you use the stickers on the power outlets so when your system is set up you can easily tell which plug is which.
Buy this to protect your Home Theatre December 11, 2004 Japinder Singh (Washington DC Metro Area) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I agree with the other reviewer. This is one of the first things you should buy. My brand new plasma tv had issues with "dirty power". It shut off automatically and then it did not start. After talking to customer support, decided to invest in this. Had no issues with dirty power since then. If you have a considerable amount of dollars invested in your home theatre setup, I strongly recommend a device like this.
It should be the first thing you buy ....... July 6, 2003 Rudolf Spoerer (Weston, FL United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Living in Florida I was surprised to learn that there are something like 4 to 5 thousand lightning strikes every single day in this state alone. Fortunately most dont really affect anyone but those that do are usually costly.....When lightning strikes, even near your house, EMT (electro magnetic) waves are emited and usually travel along any cables, above and below ground, to enter your house at any acess point, electric, cable, telphone or satellite dish. These shocks absolutely love low power cables and Ive had phones and intercoms burned out many times .. As well, with most cheaper power strips you are forced to use a 2 prong plug in order avoid a very powerfull grounding humm ... Its well worth anyone's while to kick out the 50 mbucks or so to protect stereo and TV equipment that probably costs thousands ....
