Amazon.com Product Description The DeWalt 7,000-watt electric start generator is designed for use on the toughest job site, delivering reliability, superior performance, and durability. The Honda 13 HP premium GX Series OHV engine allows for easy starting, regardless of the air temperature. The brush-less alternator virtually eliminates maintenance and provides 165 percent surge capacity, making it ideal for starting high Amp tools, including compressors. The maximum 120-volt switch optimizes generator performance. Contractors who make their living using portable generators designed the receptacle selection and panel layout. The super-quiet muffler and idle control reduce noise and save fuel on the job site. Designed with a work-site-tested 2-1/8-inch thick steel frame with panel protection bars for increased durability, the generator also comes with a rugged 5-gallon metal fuel tank. This generator can easily be moved around the job site using the semi-pneumatic wheels, handles, and lifting hook; kits for all three are included, along with a spark plug wrench. The non-removable electric start switch provides easier and more convenient start-ups than the standard recoil system, and also allows the generator to be mounted on trucks without using the recoil. A 1-inch thick frame housing has been added to protect the battery and keep it in place. The battery is not included, but a 12-volt lead acid model from 18- to 35-Amp/hour is recommended with maximum dimensions of 8-by-5-1/4-by-7 inches. Without accessories, this generator weighs 200 pounds and measures 26-by-21-7/10-by-20-1/2 inches (LxWxH); at half load, it has a continuous run-time of 8 hours. This product is backed by a 1-year free service and 2-year limited warranty that includes the engine. What's in the Box 11 HP generator, wheel kit, handle kit, lifting hook, spark plug wrench, and housing for battery.

Though Dewalt's generator is the best there is, please keep in mind that you are buying this product from Amazon. In our case, we did not know the unit itself was damaged in shipment, though there was minor damage to the box in which it came, until after we tried to start it. In order to start it, we had to put oil in it. Because we put oil in it, Amazon would not back up the purchase. We were completely on our own. In other words, if there is any minute evidence of damage to the container in which it is shipped, do not give Amazon the benefit of the doubt. Assume the unit is worthless. Send it back.
