Great product November 2, 2009 W. Moy This is an excellent product. I purchased it to measure EMF levels around a new home that I was considering purchasing. The home was fairly close to high voltage transmission lines and I wanted to make sure that there were no elevated levels in and around the house. I actually found no unusual EMF levels around the house. Just to make sure the meter actually worked I walked right under the power lines and the EMF level spiked. I may have been a little paranoid but I wanted to have the peace of mind that my family will be safe in the house. We decided to buy the house. :)
EMF meter March 2, 2009 Alex Soltany 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
i was looking for a triple-axis meter, not a single-axis meter. The product was extremely expensive for a single-axis meter, too! The meter did not work very well. I put it to an electrical machine, and it just said .01 mg almost all the time. When I put it to a hair dryer, the measurement always changed. First it was 21 mg, then it was 16 mg, and then it was 34 mg. It was always changing. I needed this meter for a science project and it failed the requirements.
Great Fun January 3, 2009 Stormspirit (Mt. Healthy, Ohio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this item mainly to test the area where my bed was placed for EMF's. I had recently moved my bed away from a wall where the power came into my house and felt the new placement was safer. What I found was that the wall where the bed had been had small (1.4) amounts of EMF's, but that the small alarm clock, placed on the table next to my head, was cranking out 134+. I've been testing everything in the house, and it's amazing the unlikely things that pour out the EMF's and the major things that don't. Unlike another reviewer, my meter came with a small manual. If you're interested in the invisible world around you I'd recommend this meter.
This Extech 480823 Electromagnetic Field and Extremely Low Frequency Meter saved my life January 3, 2009 David Nox (Mississippi USA) 7 out of 19 found this review helpful
I knew he was in my house. Did I say he? I meant it. It had been observing me invisibly for months. I knew there must have been a way to reveal it. I ordered the Extech 480823 Electromagnetic Field and Extremely Low Frequency Meter. Thank God I have Amazon Prime. My Extech 480823 Electromagnetic Field and Extremely Low Frequency Meter arrived in 2 days with free shipping. I tried to scan my house ... casually. I found it lurking near my PS3. Perhaps Madden is loved throughout the galaxy. Perhaps he was using it to signal to the rest of his kind earthlings are stupid and weak.
I will never know. It must have thought it's cloak of invisible was still effective against me.
I will never forget the blood curdling scream it emitted as my Louisville Slugger® FP83C TPS Catalyst X-1 Composite Fast Pitch Softball Bat came crashing down on it's head.
Anyway I have it in a fridge now. I'm shopping a book deal, possible a movie too. If anyone knows Geraldo Rivera
I would be willing to allow him to open the fridge and film it for a price. It's spaceship is in my garage. It look strangely like a Toyota but it's not a Toyota. My Mother in Law has a Toyota so I know it's not a Toyota.
Now that it can't use it's power of invisibility anymore it actually looks a lot like my mother in law but its not my Mother in Law...unless my Mother in Law is an Alien.
Someone just pulled up to my house. I think it's U.P.S. with another delivery from Amazon. Hmmm when did U.P.S. change their name to S.W.A.T?
Gotta run.

A great tool to have on hand, especially when you want to check out some potentially haunted places. And there are a few places I do know of personally I've often wanted to check out with this. Now I can! The product arrived as expected, in good condition with no defects whatsoever after a few tests of the device. I'm pleased to finally have my own EMF detector on hand should I feel the need to do some of my own paranormal detecting. That and the Ghost Hunters book are both handy and informative tools to have on hand and I'm glad I finally have these items in addition to my own research materials. Thanks so much for your service, I can hardly wait to use it!
