Amazon.com Product Description If you need a doorbell but are a little nervous about doing your own wiring, then wireless is the way to go. With Heath Zenith's wireless doorbell systems, all you need to do is mount the doorbell and the chime-no electrical installation is needed. With the SL-6164, you get the added benefit of being able to choose from 64 tunes-if you'd like your doorbell to play Deck the Halls, Hava Nagila, The Magnificent Seven, or even bird sounds, all of these tunes (and 60 more) are selectable using a slide switch and jumper inside the chime. You can also select from 128 code settings (which allow the doorbell to communicate with the chime) to make sure your neighbor's wireless systems don't set of your chime. The battery for the push button is included, along with all the mounting hardware you'll need. Note that you will have to supply three D batteries for the chime.--Josh Dettweiler What's in the Box Doorbell chime, doorbell button/transmitter with battery, hardware pack

Works great for me! September 30, 2008 Miranda ODell 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My doorbell switch is installed about 15 feet away from the chimes. It works every time. Having the ability to change tunes is really cool. The chimes do need D batteries, though. Have some on hand if you're anxious to get it up and running upon delivery.
Heath Musical Wireless Musical Chime September 6, 2008 S. Winters (Sacramento, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was 110% pleased with the Heath Musical Doorbell Chime. Very easy to operate and can be heard throughout my home much better than the traditionally installed chime I currently have. I also like the fact that it is mobile and I can take it with me in the event that I move. I highly recommend it. Fun to change the tunes according to holidays or your mood of the day. For ease of changing tunes often, just set it out of sight on top of something high like I did instead of actually installing it on the wall.

Not sorry for this purchase. Works well. Enjoy all the different musical sounds that can be selected. Can be heard any place in the house.
Fun and useful! May 24, 2008 cherrycake 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I moved into an "inlaw" apartment above the garage of a typical house and garage property. I receive many deliveries, and so I installed the doorbell by the front gate, about 40 feet away. It works like a charm, right through one wall. I can locate the receiver anywhere inside my apartment and hear it quite well. I enjoy all the tune selections. It has a nice melodic "music box" effect, and has never yet failed to go off when the button is pushed. It worked so well that I installed a second button inside of the curbside mailbox, about 60 feet from the receiver. The mail carrier in this area drives from box to box, and he really appreciates the ability to ring the bell located inside the mail box, when he needs a signature or has a package too big for the mailbox. He never has to leave his mail truck. I hid the extra button inside the mailbox, out of the sight of the neighborhood children, as it might be tempting for them to ring it for fun if it were seen outside of the mailbox. The second button was sold separately, and has the ability to ring a second sound to make it possible for me to tell by the tune which bell has been rung. The second tune is just "ding dong", but the first bell can ring dozens of melodies. Also, both bells can be made to ring the same tune, if you do not want a musical clue about which bell is ringing. Theoretically, one could add as many extra buttons as wanted, although only two tunes would play, at maximum. My landlady thinks I'm very "high tech" to have installed this simple, wireless doorbell system. I am very happy with it, and will take it with me when I move!
