Product Description Dont you just hate when reaching for the remote control and find out its not operating because the weaken batteries? How can we test the little battery for remaining power? How much longer can we use those batteries before replacing it? This little compact tester unit is the answer. Just hook up the battery and you have an instant answer.

great! November 20, 2009 chefmate (TX, USA) this is a great way of double checking batteries you thought were no good - I had several that I was going to throw out, only to find they were perfectly fine! It means you know when there might be a problem with an appliance rather than always assuming it's the batteries. Of particular use, was checking our hard wired smoke alarms - they say replace the back up batteries every 6 months - which I had done - but when I checked their charge, they were still full! so now i can use them for other things rather than throw them out! This inexpensive gadget is invaluable and pays for itself very quickly.
Inaccurate reading if not exactly placed November 6, 2009 IT Security Pro: tests many sizes of dry cell batteries. Inexpensive. Can give accurate reading if you correctly position the battery.
Con: Tester contacts have to be exactly placed on the battery and it may take two or three tries to be sure. For each reading, the needle swings back and forth so you have to be patient and wait for it to stop moving.
Must Have. September 23, 2009 L Jones (Lithonia, Ga. USA) This item is a jewel. If you have anything that uses batteries, it is a must have. The guessing is over. Find out if your battery is good or not in seconds. I have checked AAA's, AA's, C's, D's and 9 volts. I love it.
not good September 13, 2009 C. Uy (LA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product is useless. Almost all of my rechargeables showed 'good' when the battery's actually dead. It only shows recharge for disposable alkaline batteries that are totally dead.
Great battery tester! September 10, 2009 Joe Smith This is a great little device. I have used it on both rechargeable and standard batteries of many sizes. Like a lot of people we have a "battery bin" that has several used and new batteries of different sizes, and this tester helped me identify those that were bad and needed to be disposed, and which rechargeables needed to be recharded. At the price, you can't beat this little tester. Great product!
