Most likely, you will not find this in your Home Depot. 1) install a recessed clock AC receptacle (or a normal AC outlet) behind the television. 2) Run your Romex electrical cable from this receptacle to this item (Motor Base Plug). Note: this male end is not HOT. 3) Obtain a standard appliance replacement power cord (or 12-16 gauge extension cord) and connect the female end to this item and the male end to your surge protector. 4) Plug your surge protector into an active AC outlet 5) Plug your television into the clock receptacle (or AC outlet) from step 1.
