I have recently finished renovating parts of my home, and these lighted outlets were a nice finishing touch. At night when there are no lights on in the house they provide ample light to see where you need to go.
I have placed the receptacles in the stairway, and the hallways with these, and they work brilliantly. My small children always were pulling the night lights out of the original outlets, and with these they cannot. I also use one in each of there bedrooms for night lights. I plan to replace other key outlets near doorways around the kitchen & bathrooms in my home in the near future. And they are not too bright as to keep someone up at night. I also have found out that where I have used these lighted outlets I have never needed more than one outlet socket anyway.
These lighted outlets make it safe to move around in the dark & low light situations, and they look nice as well.
