I needed 10 outlets with surge protection where the wireless router, two computers, a fax machine, an answering machine, two cordless phones, two lamps, and a back massager live in my den. I was shocked at how much you can pay! The more expensive ones tend to be covered in white plastic; this one is gray metal with black outlets. It works. Who cares what it looks like? These items are usually placed under desks or tables where no one sees them once they are in use.

This item is warrantied lifetime and up and covers much much more in the price range of the would be damaged items then I need. I like the green and heavy duty steel construction. The extra long cord helps too.
