Small Package October 10, 2009 Erich Schaefer (San Luis Obispo, CA USA) This model was less intrusive than the single outlet Belkin MasterCube F9H120-CW 1-Outlet Wall-Mount Surge Protector even though it has two outlets. If appearance is an issue I would stick with this Monster unit.
Good product September 8, 2009 Gregory M. Cross This product works great behind my tv but you need about 4in of space behind your tv to fit this plug behind it. I have a motorized mount and it fits just fine and now I have peace of mind for my tv and wall mount.
Works but not on GFCI outlets August 27, 2009 Gene K. (Lehi, Ut USA) I had to modify the back of this to plug into my GFCI in my garage. There is a white nipple about 1/2 that was not lining up with the outlet so I shaved it off with a knife. It works now.
Exactly what I needed; 2 drawbacks August 17, 2009 Suds I wanted a surge protector for my wall-mounted flat panel TV without the long strip and power cord that would be an eye sore. This product is great b/c it's very compact; it's essentially the size of a wall outlet. The fact that you can run the cable wire through it is an added bonus. As other people have pointed out there are 2 drawbacks. 1) you can only plug this into the top outlet which renders the bottom outlet useless. 2) If you want to mount a TV to the wall with a slim profile, this product probably won't work b/c it's too thick, especially when you factor in the depth of the TV's power cord. For what I needed, this was perfect but it won't work for everybody.
Not a Good Fit for WallMount TVs August 5, 2009 milk (Dallas, Texas) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just got this surge protector from Amazon and returned immediately.
I have a 52inch LCD mounted on wall with a Tilt Wallmount. So there is enough space to put this in...but when I plug the TV power cable into it..there is not enough space for the TV to tilt all the way back in...because the TV is butted against the Plug...If you can live with your wallmounted TV slightly tilted up...then you can have this....I can not ...so I just returned it....I searched for inwall surge protector all over amazon...but none of them have a pivot plugs.....so went to Fry's ...found one from Philips...perfectly fit in the back of my TV...as it has several pivot plugs...it costs me only $20 with 200k warranty..and 2000+ Joules rating...
