great idea September 2, 2010 Bill This thing is amazing. the switch works just like a remote for a celing fan. the range is identical. (you may have to be carful on your dip switch setting's if you have a wireless celing fan remote.) you can mount the remote any where enabling you to turn some or all of the electronics pluged in. Great to have around kids. this way they dont not turn electronics on they do not need to be playing with. until they get old enough to figure it out.
Another small step toward energy efficiency July 18, 2010 Jason O'Brien (Somerville, MA United States) The power strip and remote work well. The strip is placed about three feet away from the strip, along the same wall. The remote adhesive backing makes it easy to place. It's also nice having the "always on" plugs. I've never needed more than two of these, so anything else I have gets plugged in elsewhere. A solid product, fulfilling a functional need not addressed by other products.
Great idea July 14, 2010 M. Walker (Miami, FL USA) Great, innovative idea for an old product. The simplicity of a remote controlled item cannot be explained better than what the description of the product says!!! Completely serves its purpose.
Nice idea, wish the remote was better July 13, 2010 D. Farrow (Shell Beach, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like the idea of this so much that we got two units.
The issue is that even when you think you have turned things off via the remote, at some later time, the unit turns itself back on.
At first I thought this was due to having two units, but testing should that although at times one remote could take control of the other unit, for the most part, that was not the couse.
(The two units are at opposite ends of a large house)
Calling Belkin gets you to a voice mail box only, and after waiting weeks for a call back, well...

belkin July 12, 2010 William D. Mettinger (Huntingdon Valley, PA United States) i like the product & what it is intended to do. the only problem i have is that you really have to click the remote hard at each end to make sure it is on or off. several family members were watching our tv plugged in to the belkin. after watching for a while, the tv would suddenly go off. on the converse, the tv was clicked off & all of a sudden (not immediately) the tv would go on. i purchased 2 & the same thing happens on both, however, i is plugged into other electronics, not a tv.
