needs some better directions October 24, 2009 Temporary ID (tacoma, wa USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This just may be a 5 star product, but without directions for the non-cognicenti (sp?), it becomes less useful. I just wanted a battery tester, but I got something that I am sure does all kinds of things that I will never do, .. I have to guess how to use it as a battery tester. I think I have it figured out, but I can't just leave the dial on the setting that works - you're supposed to turn it off in between, so the dial goes back to neutral and I have to try to remember what dial position worked last time.

You can't argue with an $8 digital multi meter. It doesn't have lots of features, but it works just fine, and is cheap enough to buy 10 of them for a class. Nice.
Sinometer DT830BT battery tester: excellent battery tester for alkaline and rechargeable flashlight batteries September 28, 2009 Mahlon B. Glascock
The above referred-to battery tester was purchased to provide me a serviceable, inexpensive and reliable battery tester for my flashlight batteries.....it is a superperb addition to my flashlight technology repertoire and I recommend it to anyone with a similar interest.

Sinometer Tester August 26, 2009 One Tarheel (North Carolina, USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This tester works good for the money. It is good for the "around the house" projects that I sometimes do.
Very fragile multimeter. Do not drop! June 6, 2009 Livarot 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This meter is cute and handy, but not practical. Mine did not last one week
The ball bearings under the range selector pop out of positon, the sliding copper contacts on the selector are held in place by FRICTION, and the battery compartment contacts are the flimsiest I have ever seen. I repaired it twice, and then gave up.
Leave it on your desk at home and test batteries with it. Buy a much sturdier meter for the field.
