Shoot the designer and the quality control team August 2, 2008 Rob R. (Cruzin' around the Sun Belt) I fell pray to the "automatic feed" idea. It NEVER worked right, breaking the line every 30 seconds, loosing the line inside the head constantly, and if it did feed, it would wrap itself around the feed head and jamb. This is a GRADE "A" LOSER.
i'm happy with this product June 5, 2008 S. Cieslikowski (Bonney Lake, WA) i haven't had the issues the other reviewers have. in fact, i found this much easier to use than other weed whackers. for the $35 i spent 3 years ago, this little machine has done well for me. I've taken down 24"- 36" grass and weeds with no issue. this is not a tool for a heavy duty job, but for someone with a smaller yard, it does just fine. only once have i had to fix the trim line. my only gripe is the plug for the cord could be tighter, or have a better "stay put" system.

The Weed Eater Electric Trimmer is easy to start and lightweight when using. It gives a close cut the way I like the edges trimmed. With the Weed Eater Electric trimmer I can't ask for better results as well as its being easy to use.
Weedeaters are great, but don't buy this one! July 1, 2007 Postal worker (Chesapeake VA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bought the new RTE115C in March 2007, used it for the first time on Jul 1 and was looking forward to an auto feed line vice the tapngo. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I spent more time pulling the cord out or waiting for the cord to autofeed than I spent using the darn thing. I am so disgusted with this weedeater I could just spit. For goodness sake, does anyone have a great recommendation for a medium sized weedeater that's easy and fun to use?

I'm an older female who needs lightweight tools and keeping my yard manicured is a passion for me. I have a 0.25 acre yard so for many years I've used electric weedeaters as they are light and the cord use doesn't bother me. So when my weedeater 112 finally gave out I decided on another similar item and bought the RTE115. Boy what a letdown! To start with, the entire thing shook as if the screws were loose but they weren't...just poor craftsmanship. The black guardpan seemed awfully big and it wobbled like crazy. The self feed mechanism never worked for me, it kept rewinding around the spool cover so every few minutes I had to turn it over and pull it out. What a crock! So I again read the manual to troubleshoot it and after following directions to cut back the line because if it was "too long" it wouldn't work properly, it still did the same thing. In a huff put it away after several attempts at trimming. 2 days later I decided to try it again....maybe it was me? But no such luck. This thing was not going to cooperate at all. It made more noise than it did anything. Same line feed problems, same wobbly piece of junk. so I'm looking for another weedeater 112 model.
