| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The LCD Screen Pedestal Stand offers a great mounting solution in auditoriums, gymnasiums, broadcast studios, retail environments, or anywhere an LCD screen needs to be mounted on a pedestal. The foot pattern offers a contemporary design and adjusts in width along the main tubular structure making it an ideal fit when placed under the front of fitness equipment. Feet can also be concealed under carpeting. With height-adjustment, 180 of swivel capability, and internal cord management, this unit represents a sleek, convenient and practical mounting option. This mount can be freestanding or bolted down to the floor.

Not a lot of other choices out there November 4, 2008 listenswithwolves 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this stand for my home gym. It was the only one I could find at a decent price that was also tall enough to be seen over my elliptical trainer. It is a very solidly made stand, but not very well designed. 1st drawback: Nearly the entire thing is put together with tiny set screws (a dozen in all) that you must tighten with a tiny allen wrench. This makes height adjustments quite a pain. Peerless really should have at least put a thumb screw at the height adjustment pipe. To workaround this, I found an adjustable hose clamp with a built in plastic thumbscrew at the 99cent store, and it works great. 2nd drawback: There is no up/down angle adjustment where the tv is mounted, so it must always stay basically flat perpendicular to the floor. Adding this feature would probably have added somewhat to the price, but I would have gladly paid for it. Other than these two issues, this is a solid and pretty nice-looking stand which can also hide your cables pretty well.
Good basic stand April 28, 2008 L. Cotterman 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a good basic stand. It has great height and it fairly stable. It takes some fiddling to get set up because it has these tiny set screws which require a tiny allen wrench to tighten. Would be much improved with some thumb screws.
VGA Cable Do Not Fit January 14, 2008 Timothy A. Neighbors (Baltimore) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is structurally well designed, however, the internal diameter of the upper pole that attaches to the monitor is 1.25 inches, which is less than the width of any VGA cable we have been able to find to this point. So, there is no way to utilize the cable management hole that is provided when using a VGA cable; since this is a monitor stand, it would seem important. Its as if the manufacturer never actually fully tested their design. I contacted the manufacturer and asked them to recommend a VGA cable for use. The responded with the following: "Thank you for contacting Peerless Industries. I contacted our engineering team and after testing with the cables, it has been found that the VGA cable will not work with this. The tubing is not large enough to accommodate the plug." So I would only recommend this product if you plan on having your vga cable exposed.
