Quick Delivery January 8, 2009 J. Vermillion Just received my order a day before it should have came at the earliest. Awesome delivery by Amazon and FedEx. I am charging both batteries right now and the first is almost done after 20 minutes on the charger. I cannot wait to use the tools for my next project when it comes around. The flashlight will come in handy and is very bright. i have handled the drill driver and impact in retail stores and they are exceptional light and full of power. Will return with more later...
well designed tool with disappointing batteries January 8, 2009 J. McKinnon The drill and impact driver are very impressive - comfortable, well balanced, and powerful for the size of the tool. The battery life is disappointing however. The recharge time is very fast, but for full time professional use you simply cannot afford to keep running back and forth to your charger for another battery. I will be upgrading for a pair of the higher A/Hr batteries, after which I will most likely be singing praises of this tool kit to anyone who will listen.
Better than i thiught it would be January 6, 2009 Thomas J. Cheney (Gardnerville Nv.) I got the combo set as a Christmas gift. They came fully charged. As a furniture maker AND the neighbohood mr.fixit I have already used them a lot in the short time that I have had them. They are lighter than my 12 volt Porter Cable drills that I have used in the past, quite a bit more powerfull and the batteries seem to last longer than the NiCads in the PC's. In fact I haven't even plugged in the battery charger yet. I would reccomend this set to anyone who needs a quality drilldriver and impact driver. I sure am impressed with them.
A Big Fan December 21, 2008 Green Mtn Boy (Vermont) I've owned this product for over a year now and I often wonder what I did with out it. The impact driver sees most of the use and I'll never be without one again. No problems to report at all.....Batteries charge fast and provide plenty of power. I was attaching 5 1/2 ledger locks through a pressure treated 2 x 10 and into the box joist of my house and there was no need to pre-drill. This would have taken much longer without an impact driver! I find myself always grabbing the impact driver, even for driving normal screws. The drill is of great quality, but it sits there a lot! Maybe Makita with offer a kit with two impact drivers minus the drill!
Makita LCT300W 18V Compact Lithium-Ion 3PC Cordless Combo December 16, 2008 L. Benjamin Great functionality and user-friendliness in these tools. Glow-in-the-dark rings at the ends of the chucks for working in dark spaces. LED lights to illuminate the work. Light and well-balanced. If you drive a lot of screws and have never used an impact driver, you'll never use a drill to drive them again.
