Amazon.com Review When leveling has to be laser precise, this DeWalt 18-volt self-leveling rotary laser kit gets the job done. Accurate to within 1/8 of an inch per 100 feet, the laser kit sees to it that your work is level or plumb enough for even the toughest critic--you. The laser gives off a high-power beam visible up to 100 feet from the laser. An included digital laser detector increases the working range to a diameter of 2,000 feet and helps to locate the laser beam in bright-light conditions. The laser's rotary head offers four speeds. Slower speeds produce a brighter beam, while the higher-speed settings produce a more solid light. The kit is listed as a Class IIIA laser product and complies with all the corresponding requirements and regulations. A wall mount and built-in tripod and floor mounts make setting up the laser kit a breeze, while a protected rotary head and weatherproof design ensure indoor and outdoor durability for any job site. In addition to the digital laser detector, the kit includes a laser target card, which aids in locating and marking the laser beam as it crosses over the card. Magnets hold the card securely to ceiling track or steel studs for quickly determining both level and plumb positions. Red-tinted laser-enhancement glasses improve laser beam visibility under bright-light conditions or over long distances. A wireless remote control makes one-person setup and operation pain free and fast. --Carl Thress

Excellent Product December 13, 2006 Jason Mavy (Clearlake, CA United States) 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
Before buying this product it is recommended that you have some training in the use of it to be able to take advantage of all its features and not complain about it being hard to use as some others have claimed. In my opinion it is the best product in its class and I love using it. I am a professional framer and use it often.

What can you say about such a great tool as this is? I can say personally, that I have dreamed about using this level. One of the features that really gets me going is that it uses the 18 volt batteries, I mean it's cordless, that is so cool! Thats not all, it uses the same battery that works for my drill and, circular saw, flashlight, reciprocating saw, angle grinder!!!! Whoah! And another amazing feature is that it looks really, like, stout, you know, I mean beefy and strong. But, by far the best feature, I mean, if you got nothing else but this, it would still be worth the hecka jack that there're pull'n down for this piece. THE SUNGLASSES!!! Dude, I totally look like Bono with those puppies on. I mean people start following me around and taking pics, want my autogragh. yellin crap like "U2 rocks" Dude it's like, crazy, I had to quit wearing them. Although, when I turn on the laser on @ night it does sort of look like a concert. I'll bet you that's why Bono wears them, So he can see all the people using laser pointers @ his concerts... Well, I know that you'll totally enjoy the tool, especialy with the glasses.
