| Customer Reviews: definitely a quality saw September 13, 2009 Evan Chechopoulos (San Luis Obispo, CA United States) Having had several junk coping saws before, this one is a dream come true. I was in the middle of a project when my last cheap coping saw broke. I vowed to buy a good one this time, and this one has far exceeded my expectations. Very smooth blade rotation and quality parts. Even if you think you won't use one very often, the difference in feel and workmanship make this one worth the extra price.
Almost great! April 29, 2009 kennethw (san francisco, ca - usa) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just received this saw in the mail today. It's my first coping saw, and it feels great in the hand. It's a good size, and the cuts are nice. Unfortunately, the rotational adjustment pin on the distant end of the bar (not near the handle) is way too tight. I had to oil it, and work it a bit, to make it adjustable. Other coping saws that I have handled in big box stores were too loose. It just didn't seem worth sending back... I'll loosen it up through use, and may shave the pin down a hair with a file so that tension keeps the pin in place, rather than compression.
Handle a bit too small November 10, 2008 Dr. Nick (Springfield) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Overall a nice saw with a sharp blade. There's not much you can get wrong on a coping saw if the blade is sharp and the bow is stiff! I give this 4 only because I feel I would have more precise control if the diameter of the handle was a bit larger.
Great Quality Coping Saw For Your Woodworking Projects September 23, 2008 Leebo (USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This German made coping saw is of superior quality. The frame is light yet rigid and sturdy. The handle is made from a quality hardwood. The feel of the saw in hand is the best part. It gives a controlled feel and allows for precise cuts with clean lines with little tear-out. I won't buy inferior saws any more. With proper care it should last a lifetime. You know its quality instantly when you get it in hand.
