Short blades and palm style handles assure maximum control when making the precise cuts necessary for scroll work. The high carbon steel blades are individually hand forged (you can see the forge marks and minor irregularities left over from the process!) and are tempered to Rc59-60 on the Rockwell scale. Lacquered Ash handles are firmly attached to the blades using a socket style joint. The cutting edges are factory ground and require sharpening and honing before use.
