well balanced and great in the hands October 8, 2008 E. Tong (Kahala, Hawaii) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In Hawaii, we use these 'in the field' to trim Hawaii's many hiking trails. I am a thin wristed girl, and I LOVE this tool!!! It is so well balanced, light in the handle, and heavy in the blade--it just slices through the uluhe (thick fern), guava, and ginger. The zip soft cover makes it very streamlined to put in the backpack to carry around on a 10 mile hike. It far surpassed my expectations!!!
excellent product May 15, 2008 M. Koskenoja (Ontario Canada) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Balanced, sharp and an overall great design. I have other, cheaper, Cold Steel machetes that are awkward to use-don't buy them Gerber/Fiskar makes the best tools
