| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Neodymium-iron-boron is a fancy way to say super strong magnets. A single 1" magnet has more than 10 lbs of pull; two of them face-to-face are virtually inseparable. Smaller ones make phantastic door catches that can pull a twisted cabinet door straight and hold it closed. Use them to hold knockout bars to lathes, chuck keys to drill presses and blade wrenches to table saws. Rare earth magnets have innumerable applications on jigs, fixtures and hardware as well. Handle with care! Separated magnets can snap back and pinch skin.

Works Excellently August 13, 2007 Ryan G. Stickler (Vernon, CT) These magnets do exactly what you would think a strong magnet would do. There's nothing else to really say about them.
Tiny, but... August 12, 2006 Wisconsin Dad (Wisconsin United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
At first glimpse these tiny magnets look highly overpriced, but when used you see the value. I love these little buggers for my work toolbox. String a couple of these together and there is little they won't hold in place.
Very powerful, could be more durable May 10, 2006 Brad M. Cassagne (Picayune, MS) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are a really cool toy to get kids interested in science. If you look on the web there are a lot of experiments you can do with them. They will break if you let them hit against each other though. And watch you don't pinch your fingers. Also can be quite difficult to take apart, more than you think.
Really Useful! June 10, 2004 Philth (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Rare-earth magnets are one of the greatest inventions I have had the pleasure of using. You cannot appreciate the strength of the magnets until you try them! One of these 3/8" magnets will hold up to 5 lbs of weight! I use them all over my office at work (except near the computer of course!) to hang things. They are so strong I can even use them on corner of my wall (it has a metal core behind the drywall). The reason these magnets are so powerful is due to the electron array in the neodymium, the rare earth they get their name from. To maximize the use of these magnets in wood or a surface other then steel I suggest backing them with a steel washer or slug, this will in turn maximize the magnets strength. There a huge number of uses for these magnets, you can use them on your fridge, around the office, or in the workshop. They can be glued to a surface using most types of glue (epoxy is best). Due to the force of the magnets I would suggest keeping it out of the reach of children unless supervised. Remember not to use near electronic equipment (computers, TVs, Etc) and anything that stores information magnetically (Bank Cards, Credit Cards, Etc). This is of use for anyone, and makes a great gift!
