Product Description The WARN 9.5ti stuffs 9,500 lbs. of pulling power into a compact die-cast aluminum body. What makes this winch so special is its unique operator feedback. A thermometric indicator gives the operator information about motor temperature during the winching process, which translates into more control. For the ultimate in resistance against the elements, the 9.5ti features extreme sealing. Add to this a Gen II Series-Wound motor for an excellent combination of torque and speed, and you've got a truly athletic winch.

Ultimate Jeep Tool November 16, 2006 Paul Mark Provencher (Morgantown, WV USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
When I first got a Jeep, I was young and dumb. I would go off-highway and get all kinds of stuck. People would happen along and I would ask "Have you got a winch?" They never said yes. These days, more people have them but chances are, if you go out with a small group, or heaven forbid you find yourself going out alone, and you get stuck, you might have to be asking yourself the same question. If you have a winch and you aren't completely lost to the world, you will be very fortunate indeed. This winch is one of the best available. It is fast, has a high capacity, the cable is long, and it will get you out of many "stuck" situations. You can't just buy a winch though. You will need a winch plate. The extra weight will probably make it necessary for you to get heavier springs. The high power requirements of a winch will require a higher output alternator and a highly resilent battery. Then there are the accessories you should have to use the winch: d-shackles, heavy leather gloves, snatch blocks, tree saver. And you may want to add a hand throttle so you can keep the idle of your engine a bit higher when running the winch. And a training video saved my hands. The winch is a very powerful tool that is a real life saver. It can also be very dangerous. Learn how to use it properly and practice safe winching every time you winch!
