 Plastic parts do not age well outdoors October 27, 2009

I agree with other reviewers that the problem with this box is the lack of available replacement parts for the plastic latch which WILL fail. Simple plastic part now not available at all as far as I call tell. Will spend more for a box with metal latches (such as Gibraltar brand)for a replacement.

Tired of not being able to receive small packages, I order the Jumbo rural mailbox. One corner was slightly bent in shipping, which I was able to straighten. Mailbox door is flawless operating, now receive those packages that carrier had to trudge to the door to deliver. Carrier likes it, too.

If your looking for a parcel sized box, look no further. this mail box is large and very durabel and will last you many years. The delivery service was fantastic I placed the order one day got the mail box the next WOW and a bonus is the flage is metal not that cheap plastic. I am very pleased with the product and Amazon.com

I checked ithese out and was concerned about the "plastic parts" and the enormous shipping charge. I decided to check out some of the stores in the area and found a Gibraltar brand that is all steel. There are no plastic parts. I didn't have to pay the shipping charges and it was the same price ($28.00). They were on sale at Menards and Farm & Fleet.

This mailbox was very easy to assemble. I put it together and my husband put it on our existing pole. It is tight when closed, yet easy to open. It fits most boxes of the standard clothes or household purchases that I order through the mail. My mailman loves me now because he doesn't have to get out and bring the package to my door or garage.
