It is compact and extends and locks in as described. So far no issues with them but I have not had a chance to compare performance against standard firewire cable.

I use these large hooks and strips to hang Christmas wreaths at work on glass doors. They leave no marks or residue and are extremely easy to apply and remove. I eventually bought the silver decorator hook for a coat hook in my office. If I'd thought of this, I'd be a bazillionaire by now!
