It works November 26, 2008 Rich D. (Sonoma, CA USA) I have a 15 year old Stanley opener with tiny switches and a 5 year old Genie electronic system and they are both programmed with this opener. A built-in opener sold by the auto dealers can cost over $400. Multiply that by the number of vehicles you put it in and it can get stupid expensive. This was less than $30. The instructions tell you how to program each button based on lists of names of different systems. It took some time to figure out which settings to use because my older system didn't work with the suggested programming and I had to experiment. I did get frustrated at the beginning. If it doesn't work at first you may need to be patient, stick with it. If you have newer equipment it should go quicker. The whole process took no more than 45 minutes. I do not like adding things I have to store inside my car which contributes to clutter but his is small and I've made peace with clipping it to my visor. My suggestion for this company is to make a 3 or 4 button opener so I don't need to store multiple openers. I've used it for over a month and it works fine.
Works pretty well! November 1, 2008 jalex (Illinois) Works pretty well on my old (1995) Geni garage door opener. Doesn't seem to have the range the old one does, but if I open my side window and click it outside of the car, then it works. I'm just happy to have one that works most of the time!
Works great in 2 places October 29, 2008 Yarko (Chicago, IL) Easy to program; lost the manual, but found a PDF version online. Works great in 2 locations - couldn't be happier.
Love it! October 17, 2008 SnoopyHJ (Virginia) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought one of these first to try it out, as we had just bought a house and the owners did not leave us any remotes. It was super easy to program, it came with batteries, and we have no problems with it. We ordered 2 more, one for each vehicle plus one to keep "just in case". I recommend trying these for a cheaper, easy replacement.
It is working well and very economical! October 14, 2008 freejoyful (San Jose, CA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am glad that I've found this remote control. I bought 2 of them and they are working well with the existing garage door opener. The only thing is you only can use it in a short distance from the garage opener. That's what I have experienced. But other than that, I have no complaints. It is very economical, pretty simple design, nice color, the size is pretty small - not bulky. Thank you.
