It came shipped well in it's original wrapping and in a long box. It's paper, but you can always frame it or get it laminated. It's perfect for little kids to read and it's a great piece of artwork you can hang in their room, too.

I found this map to be a good value for its price. I posted it up on a blank wall and it draws several people each day originally from different countries in Africa, Europe, and states in the US looking for and pointing out to others their homeland.

This is a straightforward map. It's not cluttered with other information. I put it on the wall in our kids' playroom, and we refer to it whenever a country is brought up in conversation, or we are planning a vacation. Who knows? Maybe it will encourage them to be world travelers.

I LOVE that I found this map on Amazon! I had gone to a "teacher store" and the world map was priced at $23.00, so when I saw this at such a great price I was so excited! I also ordered the US Map. Both are a nice, big size and nice colors. I would've given it five stars except that I wish it was laminated.
Satisfactory Map for Reference July 12, 2009

I bought this map to post in our homeschool room for reference. I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. It came rolled in a tube, so there were no creases. The paper is thin, but because it's light, it stays on the wall quite well. (I use putty.) It's large enough that you can make out the individual countries in Europe. And it has quite a bit of detail as far as cities, rivers, and lakes. I like that the fonts and sizes of the type clearly show what are continents, what are countries, and what are cities. That's important for young learners.
