Mind opener November 14, 2009 Madrina (Elizabeth, NJ) My Godson is playing with it all day He gets the bugs out side and compares with the slides. He now wants an ant farm inside the house. He lives in Fla. he wants the ants in the aircoditioning so they wont be hot.
A word for Moms "you will have alot of explaining to do".
Entertaining October 22, 2009 A. biro-csomai It is educational and also fun. My nephew is 3 years old. He doesn't really pay attention to the information abbout tha bugs but he likes to look at them. The slides are easy to place under the lense, even he can do it and the whole machine is very sturdy.
Super fun and educational December 23, 2008 Sarah B. Robbins My [...] triplets LOVE this microscope. Not only do they enjoy playing with it, they've learned a ton from the interactive quizzes built into it. A great buy for your budding scientists.
Great, educational toy...but... December 6, 2008 Mom To C and V (Cary, IL United States) it would be better if you could purchase additional slides. My son is a science nut, but even he has tired of looking at the same group of slides over & over. You can put other slides under and look at them but you don't get the great info you do with the set that the microscope came with. It is a wonderful toy for a budding scientist or entymologist, though!
Greatly disappointed November 29, 2008 Lady E (Wayne, NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this toy for my son and when we first opened it up, he was very excited after looking at the slides on the microscope. However he was highly anticipating learning facts about the bugs on the slides and when I put the batteries in for him, that feature did not work. We entered the codes just as the directions stated and it never not once told us a fact about any of the 12 slides included. I am very upset, my son is upset and I regret buying this product. I will write to the company and ask for a replacement or that I get a full refund.
