 Nice Sunglasses and Safety June 10, 2009

I am very pleased with my purchase of these Glasses. I really like them. I know they were intended for safety glasses, But they make awesome Sunglasses. I looked for a long time for Sunglasses I liked. What I was looking for was a cheap pair of Sunglasses that wrapped around to the side and blocked the annoying light that comes in from the side. I order some Dewalt Safety Glasses from Amazon and I noticed a pair listed that had a smoked lens(Dewalt DPG58 2C). Also another pair that said indoor/outdoor (Dewalt DPG58 9C). I ordered both along with regular saftey glasses. In the picture they appeared to wrap around like I wanted. They arrived and as I hoped They wrap around perfectly! The glasses are rather large in the way they curve back deeply. A regular flat Sunglasses case will not hold them. I recommend "Eyewear Safety Glasses Case Belt Hook Zipper" From ERB. The ERB case is soft cover and is larger. Or The hard case "Large Zip Glasses Case" by General ships from AC Lens This case is a tight fit, but they do fit. By the way the Indoor Outdoor Dewalt sunglasses are a light tint I like them on cloudy days. The Smoke Lens is darker tint which I like on sunny days. The light tint does work on sunny days also but it is a lighter tint.

These are some of the better safety glasses I have ever purchased. I noticed no optical aberrations with the pair I purchased. These glasses are comfortable and pretty sharp looking for safety glasses. They have served great so far with general shop use and with a lighter tint, aren't too dark for indoor use. They also make great eyewear outdoors, even in bright sun, and get a large load of use while I'm weedeating.

I bought this with a tropical fantasy: To use them in mountain biking.
These glasses look good, but... the glasses have terrible optical aberrations. You just what to take them off to see correctly... like wearing some else's correction glasses....
I gave them 2 stars, because the of the benefit of the doubt, that someone just dot care about this, and find them just cool looking... Maybe these are just "eye protection", and I expected too much from this gender.

I gave several pair of these as Christmas gifts with great response. These are very comfortable, weigh almost nothing, and look really good too! Save your bulky safety-goggles for jack-hammering and metal-grinding, and get some of these for everything else.
They even come in bi-focal, mirrored and smoke-tinted. Heck buy two pair.
Note: I got mine from AAA Industrial Supply and was very pleased with their great price and fast service!
