 Great product with easy installation October 26, 2009

When I moved into my new home, this was one of my first purchases. I have to say that I could not be more happy with it. Extremely easy installation and set-up. It comes with default settings, that will work well for about 95% of people. For those that want a little bit more personalization (like myself), you can adjust the settings in 5-10 minutes tops, and have the times and temps set to your personal liking.
Also, as other reviewers have stated, there are a ton of great features that set this apart from other. Battery on the outside, one touch backlit for the screen, and the ability to set the settings while the unit is not on the wall are the best by far. A great buy, and highly recommended.

This brand was recommended by a friend. I found the applicable model for my specific needs quickly. Installation was easy, programming was easy, overrides of specific temp at time is easy, vacation setting are the same as is going back to normal mode. To sum up programming etc. the unit is intuitive to use. This is also an energy star product so I'll be getting $25 back on it soon!

I've never installed a thermostat before, but I read the manual that came with this thermostat and it gave me all the information I needed to install & program this thermostat. I like the scheduled "comfort" times - it turns up the heat before I go to work and before I get home, and leaves it low the rest of the time. I like the "home today" feature - with one touch you can override the programmed times so it stays nice and comfortable all day. Definitely a great value for ~$40!

The Hunter 44550 was a very easy item to install; the wire labels makes even a novice installer feel confident. It took me roughly 15 minutes to complete the whole installation and maybe another 10 minutes to follow the daily programming instructions.
We just got therefore I cannot say if the projected savings is true. But it definitely beats the manual adjustment one has to do with regular thermostat. No need to worry about forgetting.
