Product Description Rare earth magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. They are amazingly powerful for their size and have innumerable uses. These magnets are 0.250 inch (6.4mm) cube. They are composed of grade 40 neodymium iron boron magnetic material and are plated in nickel-copper-nickel for a shiny corrosion resistant finish. Their individual pull force is approximately 6 lbs. Max Working Temperature - 176 F (80 C). Magnets may chip and crack if allowed to snap together.

Great for walls painted with magnetic paint! October 6, 2009 A. H. Baldwin (Columbia, MD United States) I picked the 1/4 in cubes because they are easy to move around and not too powerful. They stick well (almost too well!) to metal, but are perfect for walls painted with magnetic paint Wall Magnetic Paint - Magprime-1 Qt Wall Magn Paint. One of these cubes holds 5 sheets of copy paper on the wall. I am going to use it to create a wall covered with rapidly changeable large photographs.
strong and an awesome toy August 7, 2009 reading geek (Providence RI, USA) I loved absentmindedly playing with these while mulling over something in my mind. I tried to find unique uses, including refrigerator magnets, business card holders and magic tricks. These are great magnets and very strong.
a little too strong! July 14, 2009 knittergirllll (Los Angeles, CA) I bought these as an alternative to the itty bitty magnets that sell for much more and in smaller quantities. These Magcraft guys are tough! They are really strong, a little too strong for my magnet board, I have a heck of a time prying two of them apart when they get stuck together. I might opt for the next largest size up to get a better grip but I think they're even stronger. These work fine, I just have to be careful.
love these magnets July 2, 2009 Matt O (Boston, MA) Really strong, great for holding a stack of coupons to the fridge. I hate it when papers fall when I close the door; that never happens anymore.
Very Cool Magnets - Highly Recommended! May 29, 2009 CFH (Blue Ridge Summit, PA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Magcraft 1/4" Cube Magnets are very strong and well made! We are using some of these to hold papers to a whiteboard in our shop and some others to hold notes and art on our fridge.
These little square magnets can hold a lot of weight and some care should be taken when you have a bunch of them together as they are very powerful.
Be sure to save the packaging as it is well made and likely the best way to store these when not in use.
Highly recommended!
