Vornado 733B September 29, 2009 Doris M. Ekblad Olson (Denver) Yeah, it keeps the air moving so we need less air conditioning. We are happy with it. DO
Vornado dynamo! September 20, 2009 M. Miller (NY, NY) This little beauty works quietly and efficiently to move the air in a 12 x 18 bedroom. Previously, the cool air from the window A/C never seemed to make it to the far side of the room. Now, the comfort level is much better.
Options for the Vornado 733B September 18, 2009 S. Powell The Vornado 733B is an excellent fan. However, I wanted and bought the Vornado 735C which is the exact same fan but in Tan not Black (less ugly) and with 5 speeds instead of 3 so that one can further fine tune the output and noise level- for an extra $10. Well worth the extra $10. The 735C is not currently available from Amazon or it's current vendors but it is available at [...]. They currently offer a 10% discount and free shipping on orders over $60. Amazon is the best and they don't seem to mind if good customers share options or better deals outside of their fence in our reviews. Hope to see the Vornado 735C available on Amazon soon.
ITS JUST A SMALL FAN September 12, 2009 Stephen L. Holcomb 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wouldn't purchase it again. It disappoints me. Maybe I am expecting too
much. It works fine, arrived in very good condition (as usual, Amazon did
a good job). It is very quiet on low, almost can't hear it, quiet on
medium and acceptable on high. I live in a 450sq.ft. one room apartment,
about the size of a large master bedroom. I can't see the benefits of the
air circulation, as claimed, can hardly feel it. Low speed, to me, is a joke. I personally, have to position the "fan" DIRECTLY on me for any
benefits, then I can feel air movement. I find it hard to believe this
little "fan" can push air up to 100 feet. From around 20 ft. away, on
medium yes, you can feel it, by no means a "blast" of air, but alittle
less than a pleasent flow of air.......but 100 feet?! It seems to be
well made, and it looks good for a fan. I can't comment on durability,
have only had it a few days. But rest assurded, I'll put it through
the test, I run my fans 24/7.
Summary:
It's just a little fan, that's it! Total room air circulation, I leave
that up to you to decide. Less expensive fans (air circulators) would
probably do just as good of a job. Durability, I will see. One positive
note: It has a five year warranty and make sure you send your warranty
in online. I have read they have good customer service and stand behind
their products.
for select NYC locations.... August 11, 2009 ari e (New York, NY United States) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you live in select areas of New York City, then thanks to the ambient noise, you might consider this fan quiet on its lowest setting. If you live on Park Avenue, in Midtown, for example, the lowest setting will be pretty quiet. If you live in a suburban neighborhood in Brooklyn, it will be pretty loud.
East Harlem? Quiet. East Village, not facing 3rd Avenue? Noisy.
Financial District at 8am? Quiet. Financial District at 8pm? Urusai!
Frankly, most any fan moves air. I bought this one because of the advertised "whisper quiet operation" feature. I wouldn't say this is necessarily a _false_ claim, but that's one damn loud whisper.
