| Customer Reviews: Must prepare sheets if using colored pencils January 6, 2009 Sherry G (Falls Church, VA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I did not realize when I purchased these that you must prepare the sheets with sandpaper before coloring them if you are using colored pencils. The sheets are extremely slick so untreated sheets will not allow colored pencils to adhere. Fortunately, I had a piece of sandpaper lying around the house to scratch the sheet with. It was relatively simple to do, but I would think a child would have difficulty. Once the sheets are prepared they look just like shrinky dink sheets. These sheets are much cheaper than the ones you can order from Klutz. To me it is worth the little extra work but others may prefer to pay the extra cost for sheets that are already prepared. Also, be careful when cutting out your designs because the sheets have a lot of static and cling together tightly. I cut my sheets up into little pieces before I even realized I was cutting through 2 sheets.
Great Stuff August 8, 2008 Marka Twaina (Florida) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
It seems to me that the different brands of shrink plastic do behave a bit differently in the oven, but that doesn't make this brand deserve less stars--this is a good quality product. I haven't used the Shrinky Dink brand, but I've used Lucky brand shrink plastic and I like this one better (the plastic stays flatter in the oven for me). Overall, I think it's a great product!
Still trying it April 3, 2008 ERP (Barranquilla, Colombia, S. America) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Different from the plastic my daughter's toy (shrink a dink oven) brought but I can't say It's not good material.
First I have to read carefully instructions and stuff like that to see why it doesn't work like the other one we had before did.
